Ways to work together

LEGO® Serious Play® Workshop

An experiential process designed for guided workshops with adults. It prompts dialogue and encourages reflection, while developing problem-solving skills and use of imagination.

Team Building Experience

Collaborative sessions built around serious play and game-based learning, using a structured process that gives every participant an equal voice.

Bespoke Workshop Design (XD)

Experience Design shaped around a specific organisational challenge, whether that is change, innovation, or bringing a dispersed team onto shared ground.

Educational Innovation Consultancy

Consultancy drawing on Phil's work in creativity and innovation in teaching and learning, and on curriculum design.

The methods behind the work

Three core methodologies underpin the work. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® uses metaphor and storytelling to help participants visualise abstract concepts in concrete ways, building shared understanding across diverse teams.

Thinking In and Out of the Box™, a framework by Jimbo Clarke, moves fluidly between optimising within existing constraints and deliberately challenging them, drawing on in-the-box efficiency while harnessing out-of-box creativity.

Incub-8 is a physical ‘ThinkerToy’: a 3x3 cube whose faces carry semiotically flexible icons. Successfully funded on Kickstarter, it is used to spark combinatorial creativity and work through creative blocks.

Where Phil works

Redbrick Facilitation is based in Cornwall, UK, and available worldwide for bookings. Sessions are scoped around the team in the room rather than run from a fixed template.

The most useful first message is a little context: who your group is, the challenge you are sitting with, and roughly when you are hoping to run something. That is enough to start a conversation about what shape a session might take.
